I'd like to know more about the relationship of the two, but even so I like the way it's written a lot.
It's not the orphan telling the man that he's wrong in his assumption of being rich, rather that he is just rich in a different way.
The tone is not just preaching that money doesn't bring happiness, instead it shows several forms of wealth.
