Enchanting Tale

New MLP OC. I actually thought up this one while messing around with some fairytale stuff.

Enchanting Tale, or Echo, as she's been nicknamed by her friends, is a very imaginative mare. Ever since she was a filly, she's loved to write and tell stories--especially fairytales (hence her name...I think). Her cutie mark was actually inspired by some clip arts I saw on google images. It's a "magic" quill with mist around it floating over a book.

I actually made a debate out of deciding her palette. I swear I had four different color ideas for her coat, and then when I changed her mane at least twice I thought it might be cute for her coat, and then her eyes were particularly challenging. I wanted her palette to complement her cutie mark, but not blend with it. And I wanted her eyes to stand out just a little. And I wanted her mane to be kind of mystical-like, since her name is Enchanting Tale, after all.

Actually at first I had no intention of using a gradient for her mane or teal for her coat. Originally, I planned on light-blonde for her mane and light purple for her coat. As you can see she made a big change.
